Christian Nation -- a Different Perspective

Christian Nation -- a Different Perspective

Interesting article in The Washington Post.  If you can access The Post (behind the paywall), this is a different perspective on the theme we have been discussing in our "A Christian Nation?" series:

America Needs Civil Religion, Not Secularism or Christian Nationalism

The thesis of this article is that the government that the Founders set up for us is a secular one; but we have been a nation dominated by Christians since its founding (and before and since)... and (as a result) we have our own kind of implied national religion that is specific to the USA.  It is not Christian per se, but not entirely secular, either.

If you have not yet listened to the "A Christian Nation?" series, you can get started with Episode 301 ("The Founding Intent").
