Animated Map of the China-Burma-India Theater, 1937–1945

Listeners interested in a visual representation of the progress of the fighting in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II — the subject of much of our discussion in three episodes of the "Tea, Drugs, and Jesus" series, which considers the idea that the United States always has misunderstood China — might like to watch the animated map in this brief YouTube Short.
The video depicts the situations we discuss in Episode 206 ("Vinegar Joe and the Generalissimo"), Episode 207 ("Flying Tigers and Burmese Roads"), and the early part of Episode 208 ("Cash My Check"). Listeners should note how much the front line in China changed between 1937 and 1939, how little it changed until 1944, the effect of the major Japanese offensive of 1944 and the Soviet Manchurian offensive of 1945, and how much of China remained under Japanese occupation even when Japan surrendered in 1945. The map also includes Southeast Asia, showing the Japanese occupation of French Indochina in 1940, the Japanese offensive in Burma in early 1942, Stilwell's offensive in northern Burma in 1944, and the general Allied reconquest of Burma in 1944–1945.
